Family Law Attorney
Lutz & Associates, P.S. – Washington Full-time | $120,000 – $190,000 per year

Lutz & Associates, P.S. is a growing family law firm serving Washington families since 1997, with offices in Fircrest, Kent, and Bainbridge Island. We are seeking an experienced attorney who is interested in building a long-term career in family law and contributing to a collaborative, client-focused team.

Our firm maintains a consistent pipeline of retained family law matters through established marketing and intake systems. Attorneys are supported by modern legal technology, experienced paralegals, and strong administrative systems so they can focus on strategy, advocacy, and client service rather than administrative work or client acquisition.

Position Overview

This role involves representing clients in a range of family law matters, including divorce, custody, parenting plans, and support. Attorneys manage their own cases while working closely with our legal team and support staff.

The position includes courtroom advocacy, negotiation, and regular communication with clients and opposing counsel.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in divorce, custody, parenting plan, and support matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Appear before or correspond with Superior Court judicial officers and staff
• Negotiate resolutions while preparing cases for litigation when necessary
• Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines independently

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–4 years of family law experience
• Active WSBA license in good standing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage a caseload independently
• Professionalism, empathy, and strong client service orientation

Compensation & Benefits

• Associate Attorney: $120,000 – $150,000 annually
• Senior Associate Attorney: $150,000 – $190,000 annually

Work Environment

Attorneys may work primarily from our Fircrest or Kent offices, depending on preference and team needs, with occasional work from our Bainbridge Island location if desired. Limited remote flexibility may be available depending on experience, schedule, and case responsibilities.
