Corissa “Ris” Davis brings a compassionate, strategic, and purposeful approach to family law and civil litigation. With a professional background that spans multiple state jurisdictions and a foundation in child and family studies, Ris is uniquely equipped to advocate for clients navigating some of the most emotionally charged and complex moments of their lives.
Ris earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis School of Law, where his commitment to social justice and community service informed his early legal work. Prior to law school, he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies at the University of Tennessee, equipping him with a deep understanding of family systems—an asset he continues to draw on in his legal practice.
Before joining Lutz & Associates, Ris practiced law in both Tennessee and Alabama, honing courtroom skills and legal writing while managing a broad spectrum of matters including divorces, custody disputes, estate planning, and civil litigation. Most recently, he served clients at a family law firm in Tacoma, where he was known for crafting persuasive motions, securing favorable court rulings, and developing practical solutions through negotiation and advocacy.
Ris is driven by a core belief in the dignity of each client and is known for his empathetic communication, methodical case preparation, and steady courtroom presence. His goal is always to empower clients through clarity, compassion, and smart legal strategy.
Outside of the office, Ris is enthusiastic about equity, neurodiversity advocacy, and building inclusive communities. He brings both heart and intellect to his role at Lutz & Associates and is honored to serve clients across Washington state.
